Patrick Keena — Composer for Film & Beyond

Patrick Keena is a composer and multi-instrumentalist working across film, advertising and independent music. Holding a first-class degree in Music Production, his practice moves between the cinematic and the experimental, blending acoustic instrumentation, electronic textures and classical influences to create distinctive, emotive sound worlds tailored to the image.

He has worked extensively with Collected Film, composing scores for short narrative films, including ‘Sunny Oaks’, alongside music for commercial projects and campaigns for brands such as ‘COAT Paints’ and ‘Out West’, a pottery company. His approach is guided by a sensitivity to atmosphere, narrative and visual storytelling, with an ability to shape music around the tone and identity of each project.

Working across a broad musical palette, Keena draws on country and folk, classical composition, jazz-influenced harmony, experimental ambience and avant-garde electronics. A multi-instrumentalist whose primary instruments are guitar and piano, he combines organic, performance-led arrangements with more abstract and textural sound design, creating scores that can feel intimate and understated or expansive and unconventional.

Alongside his work for screen, Keena is a founding member of Aqualine, a band for which he co-writes music, and performs with SILT, a London-based collective. He is also developing a body of solo work exploring the space between classical, ambient and electronic music.

Whether composing for film, advertising or his own independent releases, Keena approaches each project with curiosity and a collaborative mindset, seeking to create music that deepens the emotional world of the work while remaining distinctive in its own right.
